Full Version: Subdomain on a Different Server

Hi noobie here! I looked around and I couldn't seem to find any solutions posted regarding my problem.

I have a Plesk 5 and a Plesk 6 server. I want to install a forum for a client but on a different server.

www.domain.com is sitting on the Plesk 6 server. I want forums.domain.com to sit on the Plesk 5 server. This way the load won't affect the www site. Could this be done through Plesk 5 and 6?

I have already pointed the A DNS (forums.domain.com) to the IP of the Plesk 5 server and have setup a hosting account but when I punch in forums.domain.com I get a Default Plesk page saying:

1) hosting for this domain is not configured
or
2) there's no such domain registered in Plesk.

If any one could shed some light into this for me it would be greatly appreciated. This is really driving me nuts! :-P
