Anyways - waiting 4 hours for an e-mail from ev1 techs, so just going to ask this here.


Is there no way at all possible - for my p4 2.4ghz system that I have at ev1 to have 2gigs of ram? is it hardware limitation? only 1 slot? .. what type of mobo is that.

There has got to be some way I can get 2gigs of ram in one of those things.. I just can't afford the dual xeon to get 'extra' ram - and I don't want to leave the ev1 datacenter over ram - that would sound silly.

Question: What type of ram should I get - I can't exactly tell whether my box is a compaq, etc.

Most likely just the standard memory which is about $19pm last time I remember.

2.4 gigs of RAM - what configuration is that???

You know what I just emailed customer Service about this and asked if it could be done and what would be the cost of doing so on sunday, I am still waiting for a responce from that email.

One thing I have seen over the last 1 year and a half is that when you email someone over at EV1 you are most likely not going to ever get an answer.

I have emailed abuse 2 times, sales 3 times and customer service 4 times, since I have been a client and I have only gotten one responce from them back and that was an auto responce from abuse.

Can you ask through the ticket system?

The 2.4 and 3.06 systems can normally be upgraded to 2 GB... occasionally just to 1.5 GB ram.
