We have a virtuozzo mirror! The files can be obtained via httpd or FTP from swsoft.ev1servers.net. All the Virtuozzo packages are under the Virtuozzo directory.

Also, some other info that some of you have asked for-

1. Plesk 30 to Plesk 100 upgrades will be available shortly. SWSoft does not offer Plesk Unlimited licenses for VPS. Below is the upgrade pricing-

10: $40/month
20: $50/month
30: $60/month
40: $70/month
60: $90/month

And here is the pricing for Plesk 100 for VPSes that don't already have Plesk 30

10: $80/month
20: $100/month
30: $120/month
40: $140/month
60: $180/month

2. The Plesk 30 and Plesk 100 licenses already come with add-ons, including one language pack.

3. Unfortunately there is no VPS pricing for Dr Web at this time.

4. To the best of our knowledge, Urchin can be used with VPSes. You can submit a ticket to have this installed. It's free.

5. VZMC licenses - these are usually not included with Virtuozzo. SWSoft usually sells them for $1000 per user. They offered EV1 users a special deal so that we get 1 free single user VZMC for each machine on which Virtuozzo is installed.
* You can install this on multiple machines, but keep in mind that there is no logging
* Multi-server VZMC licenses will be available for sale for $30/month

Are you sure? It seems to work on other IPs/servers for me, but only ones inside of EV1.

well.. perhaps you lucky. i try to access from one of my vps accounts when isabel send it to me and it didnt work. Perhaps they didnt add the range yet.

The ip is one of my VPs, the range is 67.15.164.*, if you can be my guest and give it a try. Perhaps i am wrong. Perhaps i am unlucky. heh. IT happends .

I guess you're right, it doesn't work on the VE's. It works on my other servers though, which is what I was trying before.

i am sure they just forgot to add the range to the FTP access list, probably because is a new one, and that the same server us the progeny ftp server.

Probably they will fix it soon.

Am I missing something or are the RedHat ES3 OS templates missing from the FTP server? There are the AS3 templates but nothing for ES3. Are they missing or where should I be looking for them? Thanks!

You can always make one yoursefl with vz tools. Just a remeinder for how to Virtuozzo works you cant make a template from anything that aint linux. Ex: you cant make freeBSD template.

Well, the other distros are being updated to their latest software (like Fedora Core 1's p1/p2, etc). So if they're not providing RHE updates, how are we going to get updates for things like:

quota-3.09-1.swsoft

In each VPS should there be an exploit found in it? Also, without without updates to:

redhat-es3-tmpl-2.6.0-3.swsoft.i386.rpm

it will take us longer to deploy new VPSes given the amount of time it will take to run up2date on them or install the self made update package.

Or are we going to have to make our own template updates to reduce this time?

personaly i will try to make a vps templates from a test server i have somewhere... could be nice if ev1 supply this new templates or swsoft. or atleast they provide a rh server so we can make the templates.

is hard to me to upload 100 mb. but i probably have to do it just to have a template updated.

hal, i wish i had a 100mbit connection, but i have a useless dsl lines, things that happends from being at uruguay. but hey, i have beaches to compensate it. heh. I will let you know when i have my first template finish (it all depends when i get enought time to do it)

Ok, I've downloaded the RHAS3 templates from the internal ftp site and installed them. I went to install another vps using the "vps.plesk7.es3" and it gives me an error saying that psa-as3 is not compatible with the ES3 load. However, when I look at my first VPS that I originally installed it looks like psa-as3 went onto the es3 VPS without any problems. I was able to install a RHAS3 VPS using the vps.basic template and selecting the packages I wanted installed.

I could do a force install i guess, but I'm wondering why I get the errors now and I'm currious if anyone else had a similar experience. Makes me wonder if there was actually a psa-es3 template that got trashed during the RHAS3 template install process.

I'm finding this whole Virtuozzo server to be rather frustrating and beginning to wonder if it's worth it. :confused: Plesk always wants to update itself but the SW-Soft forums say you should not run the update in a VPS. Security patches could be a full time job if they are going to have to be hand crafted into update templates.

Who should we get ahold of to order these?

The ftp site allows people with virtuozzo to get updates to templates. If you don't have virtuozzo already installed it won't help.

Won't this mirror be kept up2date?
