Anyone experience this problem or, perhaps, able to suggest a resolution?

Everytime I try to use the Plesk updater, I receive the following error message:

Error: File download failed. Couldn't resolve host 'autoinstall.plesk.com'

Then I'm sent to the updater settings page and given the choice of either Plesk Update Server or Network storage for source type, followed by a blank field labelled: Source URL.

Could this be a licensing issue? Maybe?

Can you log on to your server and check hostname resolution?

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion RexAdmin,

I did do that, and it was shown as I had specified.

So... I guess I'm still confused. Hmmmm ...

hi,

that hostname 'autoinstall.plesk.com' is a remote plesk server I suppose :-) no use checking your server hostname.

You are probably having /etc/resolv.conf setup incorrectly... Please check the following

# host autoinstall.plesk.com

does it show an ip ?

It turns out that I did not choose the best dns servers to specify for the ve to use (My Plesk is running under Virtuozzo VPS). As soon as they were updated to better dns servers, everything ended up working with plesk updater.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions.
