We just bought a new P4 3 GHz Windows 2k3 server with Plesk 7, EV1's "preferred" CP. The stupid thing is broken from the get go.

Can't setup a domain. Gives the following error:

WEB_Server_package parameter not defined in features list.

We have had a trouble ticket open since this morning but nothing has been done so far.

Are there any tasks that need to be done when setting up a new windows server before even using Plesk. How about changing host name?

Anybody else have had this problem?

Can you verify that this is def. Plesk 7 for Windows, and not 6.5, as we thought they were still not offering version 7 for Windows ?

It's defintely Plesk 7. There is a shortcut on the desktop to IE called Plesk 7.0 for Windows. All the entries in the "Add or Remove Programs" panel say Plesk 7.0.

I'm going to recommend to my boss to cancel this server. It's a bad omen when this thing is useless out of the box.
