Help!
I just ran the Autoupdate for Plesk 7 Reloaded and now none of my users email accounts will verify. The can go to Webmail or try their Pop3 account and it says the password is incorrect. I have logged onto the server and reset the password with no luck. I have created a new email account and it does the same thing. This is on Redhat 9

Thanks for any help!!

Hi bergm57,

I saw in your trouble ticket that you restarted the imap/pop3 service and everything worked fine.

We have noticed this happening on several servers and have contacted Plesk to let them know. The problem seems to be that xinetd is starting before courier-imapd in the boot order, and xinetd is also trying to start imap.

What seems to be working for us is to change the boot order so that xinetd starts toward the end. You can change the boot order by renaming the symlink in /etc/rc3.d/ from "S56xinetd" to "S96xinetd"

This is a temporary fix, and I'm pretty sure that imap is supposed to be started from the courier-imap script rather than from xinetd, but we're waiting to hear from Plesk before we do anything else.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
-Joe
