Full Version: PHP not working

I'm sorry to start a new thread, but I was hoping someone could help me.

I have installed PHP and MySQL onto my server (2K3 w/ Helm obviously).

MySQL is working perfectly but I am having issues getting PHP to work for some reason.

I used the CGI windows installer and it seemed pretty simple when I used the install wizard. I am assuming that it set up the php.ini file for me - but after going through the installer - PHP still is not working on any of my sites.

PHP IS turned on in Helm so I am thinking it's a PHP itself issue.

Are there some settings that need to be configured past the installer?

Help is appreciated, thanks!!

Have PHP extensions been enabled in Windows 2003?

What happens when you try to access a PHP page?
Joy
How would I find out if the extensions have been enabled in 2003. Would that be in IIS? (i'm pretty new to this)

Getting a 404:
HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Check that the Web Site Extensions in IIS contains the PHP extensions and that they are allowed.
Joy
Ok. I checked and no, there are no PHP extensions even listed.

Can I just add them - or do I have to do something special?

Thanks so much for your quick reply!! icon_smile.gif
Joy
Should I set it to accept all unknown CGI extensions?

This seems pretty risky. How else do I add PHP extensions?

Thanks!
Joy
NEVERMIND.

WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I added the Service Extension (directions found in another thread) and marked it Allowed and now it is working like a charm!!

THANK YOU AGUK!! I appreciate your help so much! icon_smile.gif

I have the extension enabled with "c:windowssyste32php4isapi.dll > allowed" but there is the same 404 error. Do I have to setup the same dll in HELM panel?
omnibus
Yes, you have to set the same path to Helm as:
c:windowssystem32php4isapi.dll
and all is working now.
