Just install again rpm packages, you need to install one which is ment for your version of OS. If its only Apache problem.

If it's Plesk on it you need to install Plesk over again, to make sure no left-overs are in place.

Good luck.

You have to use progeny rpm (see notice about progeny ev1 offer it), get apache rpm and all php rpm then install it back..

Thanks for the reply,

How would I apply progeny to this particualr cause. I did some research and did notice that you havce some experience, both good and bad with Progeny. Please explain what you think is going on. And How to use progent if at all possible.

Server down 23 hrs and counting, just short of complete system restore..

Last time i have checked the rpm was good.. Since no big hole recently i have not checked back put i asume the problem is gone forever :-) I hope so at least :-)

Via ssh type ;

ftp
passive
ftp progeny.ev1servers.com

Login as "anonymous" then put any pass.. or your email..

cd 7.3 (i think)

Then get the latest php/apache rpm (check to one whit the highest end number ex: apachexyz.5 (was the 5 patch progeny have released, so the highest the # the latest patch)

after you got it just go in the dir where you have DL it then ;

rpm -Uvh name.rpm

if your are able to re install this then restart the service or server then this should work..

Note : Always do backup before changing someting..

Thank you again for your quick reply..

I tried to connect to progeny with the instructions you gave, but Im coming up with this particular set of errors..

[admin@server admin]$ ftp
ftp> passive
Passive mode off.
ftp> ftp progeny.ev1servers.com
?Invalid command
ftp> progeny.ev1servers.com
?Invalid command
ftp> ftp progeny.ev1servers.com
?Invalid command

Thanks again..

I did some more research and found this thread to help execute progeny.

Thanks..

Interesting about that "helpful" link is that this guy is using links.

IMHO, links is introduced in RHEL version, and it is not existing, for e.g., in RH 7.2 (or I am wrong).

So, basically, just do in shell:

ftp progeny.ev1servers.net

anonymous for username
your email for password

...

Good luck.
