Hello all out there,
I am having a problem on my server (a little describition of it is: fedora core 1 intel xcon 2.4G with 2G of RAM, mysql 4.0.18) which dedicated only for day to day database mentinance)

my ?? is that my mysql always keeps on crashing "database development error" and then some times the load on server increases repaidly, i am not able to understand what exactly is the porblem with it following is my "my.cnf " file describition"

load : avg. load : Came down from 8.xx to 4.xx

i have shown the changes which were made to the file and what happened after that, the mysql problem is a very wired one as after all kinds of efforts put into it are going into wain....as V are not getting any results out of it......

anything that can optimise the mysql server and which can give out a good performance!!!!STEP BY STEP guidlines please!!!!

PLease help me to modify the required changes and what else can be done to overcome this major problem faced by us....
