Everytime I try to login to Plesk I get the following error:

Unable to connect to database: MySQL connection failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'

I was receiving this error when I first signed up with Rackshack, and they fixed it. 2 weeks later, Plesk somehow managed to update itself to a demo version where I could only host 1 domain. Needless to say, I contacted support and had them install a new version.

Now I'm receiving the same error and RS never addresses my support ticket so I guess I'm on my own. I don't use mySQL and have never tried to access it in any way. Any help is appreciated.

I just linked the file to the directory it was looking for:

cd /tmp/

ln -s /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock mysql.sock
