unable to exec utility packagemng - Empty Error message from utility

All of a sudden, Plesk 7.0.0 started to give this error at the login page and returns to login screen.

when i try to restart plesk it gives:

[root@asr psa]# service psa restart
/etc/init.d/psa: line 319: 25946 Done echo $my_name_2
25947 Aborted | egrep '^/' >/dev/null 2>&1
/etc/init.d/psa: line 94: err: command not found
===> Reading /etc/psa/psa.conf ...
/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpsdctl restart: httpd restarted
[root@asr psa]#

i did absolutely no changes, no installs, no upgrades, i am just new on the boat (RHEL3)

can anyone guide through this error please?

I just up2date'ed and am experiencing the same error. Any suggestions would be very much welcomed.

However my full error is:

Unable to exec utility packagemng: Unable to open rpm db: cannot open Packages index using db3 - (-30982)

System error 2: No such file or directory

Somehow the rpm db got foobared.

rpm --rebuilddb

Did the trick.
