i had an inbox which was flooded with 7k worth of spams, is there a way to completely delete all those emails? I tried using squirrel but it timeout after 30secs
Using redhat? You could ssh in and delete the inbox in question and create a new, empty file named 'inbox' in its place. That would permanently erase all inbox messages, including anything you do want. Make note of the permissions and ownership of the inbox file before you delete it, and assign accordingly to the new inbox file.
Edit:In the case of redhat and exim, at least, it's better to just delete the inbox without creating a new one. if there is no inbox when mail is next received, a new inbox will be created automatically for you.
