After a recent upgrade of cPanel, Horde stopped working. Can't login via cPanel or directly. Using PHP 4.3.3, Redhat 7.3.

Using BlueLagoon, I get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: _() in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/config/registry.php on line 86

Trying to log in directly:

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 0 of 48 bytes in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/Auth.php on line 250

Anyone else having this problem?
Jurgen
Have you found a solution? I experience the same problem.

Jurgen,

No solution found yet! Can't believe there aren't more users with this problem ....

Looking at this post i checked my Horde and found this:

A fatal error has occurred:

DB Error: connect failed

[line 108 of /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/lib/Prefs/sql.php]

Details have been logged for the administrator.

All I can figure is that the upgrade of cPanel somehow broke some links or dependencies for Horde. Checked the Horde site but could find no answer. However, I discovered that even though logging in from a site's control panel doesn't work, this direct login does:

https://www.yoursitenamehere.com:2096/horde/index.php

Here you can just login using your username and password, but don't use the + symbol between your email account and site name.

emailname@sitename.com
password

The only problem remaining is that I used to be able to check the spambox and ALL e-mail user accounts via the main e-mail login for the site. Now, when I log in using this account, ONLY the account e-mail folders are shown in Horde. I can log into spambox separately, but it was nice to look at all acounts at once. Anyone know why? How can I view all e-mail accounts at once via Horde?

Ok, after some more testing I see that I cannot log into Horde via cPanel, reflected by this URL:

https://www.sitename.com:2083/horde/login.php

However, I CAN login to Horde using this URL, one that brings up a login screen in cPanel:

https://www.sitename.com:2096/horde/login.php

From this evidence, it appears that the webmail link from within cPanel (bluelagoon and others), is broken. Instead of using port 2096, it is trying to access port 2083. Why this was changed after upgrading cPanel I do not know. Now, wher to find the preferences to fix so that cPanel webmail link works again ....

Well, looks like I'm the only one in this thread so I might as well continue ...

To check you spambox email, log into Horde using:

https://www.sitename.com:2096/horde/login.php

For username, enter the root user name for that particular web address. That is, if the user for www.sitename.com is sitename1, enter only "sitename1" in the username entry box. Do not add "@sitename.com" or "+sitename.com" as you might when setting up POP access. Only the username is needed.

Then, enter the password for that username. Incidentally, this is the same username and password that you would use to login to your server (a particular site/user account, not the main root server account) via ssh or to access it via cPanel.

If you log into Horde this way, you will be able to view all of your e-mail accounts in a single interface. If you do a folder listing, you can see right away which accounts have spam in their spamboxes. If you want to automatically delete spam on a weekly basis, check

http://forum.ev1servers.net/showthread.php...&threadid=40174

I know this may or may not have been covered on numerous other posts, my aim is just to clarify spambox access for the new user ...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: _() in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/config/registry.php on line 86

For those of you experiencing this Horde error when logging in via cpanel, ssh in as root and :

touch /var/cpanel/usecpphp

This should bring it back to normal. More on this can be found at http://forums.cpanel.net just do a search on Horde errors and you will find several threads on this, along with some other potential fixes.

Thanks! That fixed it. Horde can now be accessed through cPanel without errors.
