Am I the first to mention this?

I think I MUST have this upgrade... if nothing more than the ability to preview domains before DNS propogation and the builtin SSH access.

http://www.sw-soft.com/en/products/plesk7reloaded/

Still being a newbie... how do I get this installed? Something I have to do or can I get someone to do this for me?

*does the happy dance*

Looks like Plesk may finally be a contender. icon_wink.gif

Will ev1 charge extra for upgrading a license to Plesk Reloaded?
If we have the current $20 a month for unlimited plesk, how do we get the same for "Reloaded"

Thanks

Sam

FROM PATRICK EV1 :
If you're already using Plesk 7 from us, you're good to go already. You just need to install the new version of Reloaded and it will automagically update the key.

Any idea what this new "Professional Web Site Editor" looks like?
I can't seem to find any demos at sw-soft or at least a site that was created using it.

Thanks
Sam

You do know plesk 7.1 has Automated Key Update System...... so... it should/might upgrade your Key if it's in the SUS automaticly.
jgutierrez
And the upgrade process would be?

Just download and install the rpm or autoinstaller from plesk page?
AcornWebs
yep.
Joe-Ev1Servers
That's right,

Just download and install the rpm package or the autoinstaller (depending on your preference) from the Plesk web site, and the key will be updated automatically during the setup process. So far I have seen only one case where the key update failed, and logging into Plesk resulted in a "Bad license key" error. If that happens to you, simply submit a trouble ticket in the members section of Ev1Servers.net, and we'll update it manually if needed.

Thanks,
-Joe

-edit-

Forgot to mention, if you are currently using Plesk 6 or below, you still need to obtain a Plesk 7 license directly from us before upgrading, if not, the license will become invalid after the upgrade. Patrick has been posting details in this thread:

Anyone install this yet?

Any issues?
AcornWebs
I'm going to install on the 27th or around there because I'm going out of town. But it's most likely going to upgrade fine as it's the same as upgrading to 7.0.3 from 7.0.2. I won't use the autoinstaller as I don't trust it after all the problems it can cause/caused when they had it for plesk 7.0.0, also on the 7.0.0 autoinstaller, they pulled it off there site because of the problems. So I'll manualy install it with the RPM's it's very easy really.
RexAdmin
Installed Plesk 7.1 Reloaded, and I have Key license issues.

Opened TT and got response from EV1 that they have installed license but I get:

Key Error:

"The Key that you are using is invalid for the product version you are running.

To purchase new key go to Plesk Online Store ... "

When accessing :8443 port via https.

I've re-opened ticket (EscID=636939) hope EV1 will fix it soon.

Where did you hear this?

Are there some Plesk-specific forums other than this one? I'd like to stay on top of these types of alerts/fixes.

Tony

on edit: how did the last two posts in this thread get a different post time? They posted these TOMORROW!! Ahhhh!!!

Must be a glitch in the Matrix Reloaded!
