Full Version: With Plesk7 on Linux, can you automatically lock people when they exceed bandwidth?

Considering reselling a Plesk7/Enterprise RedHat server, and was wondering - if one of my clients exceeds their bandwidth, can I automatically lock them out?

Plesk7 does have an option for "maximum bandwidth", but I don't know if that's it'll lock or simply alert an admin after that

Thanks

It just sends alert emails. Frankly, I prefer it that way since it gives me more control.

Same here. Ev1 doesn't shut down your server when you exceed your bandwidth limit, why should you do that to your customers? Just have your customers agree to pay the $.75 per GB if they exceed their limit. icon_smile.gif

I would set the threshhold to below what you offer in gb's.

if you offer 500 gb's, just set the max to 300.

Once you get the email IF they go over, you will know better what you should do. If they use 300 gb's they are doing upwards of 20,000 - 30,000 visits per week.

Just make sure you monitor that email regularly, and you should be covered/secure.

Peace
