RE:
Redhat 7.3 cPanel 9.2.0stable.25

We can successfully install front page extensions for domains and everything seems to go flawlessly.

However when you try to access the site with front page you get an error that there are no front page extension installed.

If you view the site in FTP you can see the extensions are there.

The client can upload the site fine, and the site is visible, but when they try to use the search features they get an error.

You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

We have uninstlled and reinstalled and still there is no connection.
Is there something we are missing? Any clues to what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance!

I would really like to get some sort of help here. I have done a search on this in the forums and haven't seen anything to answer my question.

We try to upload the site using front page and it says that it can't because extensions are not there. However they are there.

In another thread they mentioned assigning an ip to the domain solved their problem. We did this also and it still will not work.

Please help!

I am getting the same problem.

One thing I noticed is that the forum post form is calling for a "_vti_bin/shtml.dll/" which does NOT exist on my server with front page extensions installed.

cincyweb,

Are you working with a new site or moving one over to your server? Would it be possible that some of these extensions are placed on the server as FP needs these bots?

At a loss too.

This is a new account, we didn't transfer anything.
I just can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening.

I ran "Update Apache" in WHM and my FP Extensions began working again.
