Full Version: Upgrade to 7.0.2? Opinions?

SO, I've been scouring the threads trying to feel out the headaches involved with upgrading a new server from EV1 running Plesk 7.0.0 to 7.0.2, and I must say, wow...

I'm curious as to if it's worth my time? Is there a comprehensive list of todo's... or, should I should simply stear clear in hopes of a "solid" 7.0.3.

Also, what's the safest way to update "outdated" packages? Do y'all recomend up2date? Are there specific tools I should seak?

My objective is to minimize downtime, while ensuring a secure environment (the dreams of an IT guy). However, it would seem I'd be reaching to assume I could minimize downtime with Plesk 7.0.

Any feedback would be greatly appriciated,

I just came back to ev1 from managed.com, and got a plesk box with 7.0.0. First thing I did was have ev1 set me up with their RHN account for up2date, and I updated ALL the packages, even the kernel.

Next, I downloaded the rpm from plesk and installed ONLY the psa rpm's for the service itself. Works like a champ!
