Hi, I have a server here with WHM/cPanel.

This has never worked on my shared IP server.
http://xx.xx.xxx.xx/~username

This gets me to a page: Index of /~techworl
http://xx.xx.xxx.xx/~username/

The only difference is the forward slash at the end of the user name.

The domain name has not fully proprogated yet. I just want to let my client login to the account and start working on his domain. What do you guys do?

Thanks for any help.

Found this answer to the same problem at cPanel.net forums:

http://your.ip.address.here/~accountnamehere/

dont forget the trailing /

make sure your settings for mod_userdir are correct in WHM, server setup, tweak security.

chmod

This was my response/question after trying it myself:

This is the information I have been looking for all day.

Problem is I am unable to save the changes in tweak security > mod_userdir. To do this correctly we just check the box for domain name and click save?

What you think?
