Now, about http://forum.rackshack.net/showthread.php?...s=&postid=95259
The DNS Howto, I was reading, got stuck at step 2. I'm rather confused on how to 'reigster my domain as nameservers'. I did some guessing and ended up going to ev1servers.net and going to my server admin panel., DNS configuration, manage domain.net, and adding in there a few things. ns1.domain.net as an "A" type, with IP1 as the target, then ns2.domain.net as an "A" type with IP2 as the target. Well when I went to change domain.net to point to ns1 and ns2.domain.net, it says it cant verify ns1.domain.net as a nameserver, so I'm guessing I did something wrong?

Also, on the hostname dealie, I asked someone and they said I should add srv01.domain.net as a CNAME, pointing to my main IP for some reason, can't quite remember atm.
(Hostname tutorial I followeD: http://forum.ev1servers.net/showthread.php...anging+hostname )

you need to register the nameservers at your registrar.

YEah.... exactly what does this mean? I thought this was adding it in there like I was trying. I registered my domains through ev1, how would I go about doing this?

you need to log in here :https://domains.ev1servers.net/cgi-bin/manage.cgi

and not to server panel

To create your nameservers login to the domain management panel and click "Nameservers" on the left menu. Scroll down to see a link that says "Click here to create and modify nameservers based on your domain". On the following page you can enter the subdomain (usually ns1 or dns1 and ns2 or dns2) as well as the IP address that is to be associated with the nameservers.

Please note that after you create your nameservers it will be about 72 hours before you can point a domain at them without recieving an error.
