How do I find the processor speed and amount of RAM? Is there some sort of command? I tried psrinfo but it was undefined.

Thanks,

for processor speed, type:
CODE
cat /proc/cpuinfo

You'll get something like:

CODE
processor       : 0

vendor_id       : GenuineIntel

cpu family      : 6

model           : 8

model name      : Pentium III (Coppermine)

stepping        : 3

cpu MHz         : 863.873

cache size      : 256 KB

<snip>

So its a P3, currently at 863 mhz (that can vary a bit, its probably an 866). 256KB of cache is also something to note.

For memory:
CODE
cat /proc/meminfo

total:    used:    free:  shared: buffers:  cached:

Mem:  327364608 314400768 12963840        0 91119616 188190720

Swap: 668852224 10452992 658399232

MemTotal:       319692 kB

MemFree:         12660 kB

MemShared:           0 kB

Buffers:         88984 kB

Cached:         180788 kB

SwapCached:       2992 kB

Active:         174752 kB

ActiveAnon:      13980 kB

ActiveCache:    160772 kB

Inact_dirty:         0 kB

Inact_laundry:  102856 kB

Inact_clean:      6188 kB

Inact_target:    56756 kB

HighTotal:           0 kB

HighFree:            0 kB

LowTotal:       319692 kB

LowFree:         12660 kB

SwapTotal:      653176 kB

SwapFree:       642968 kB

So it has 319692 kB or 320MB
