Is that why they are offering insurance against lawsuits like SCO's ?

Another way to look at it is that they are confident that they can win and as such offer the insurance.

Yet another way is "there is one born every minute" meaning you buy the anti lawsuit insurance, SCO loses and you do not need it.

SCO is betting they will win hence the offering of "buy now and save alot of $$$ and legal issues later"

This place is saying "Buy now and we can protect you from the legal issues if they occur"

this is a double edged sword

Bottom line is it wouldn't benefit this insurance company to make this announcement if it wasn't true. More than perhaps any other industry, the ins industry doesn't like losing money. What other industry gets away with penalizing or even cancelling policies of customers for utilizing the very services they are supposedly paying for? It's an industry based on the gambling mentality. You gamble you're going to need it and they gamble you won't. It's co-dependency at it's most profitable, and in most cases, the consumer loses.
