Can I configure sendmail to listen on another port in addition to port 25? This is due to port 25 blocking by ISP's (for good reason, I might add).
I would like to do this on Cobalt Raqs as well as Ensim.
Thank you.

Add
OOPort=25000
to /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
(where 25000 is the other port#)

Thank you for the reply. Would that change the port from 25 to the new port number rather than receiving SMTP requests on an additional port?
I don't want to disable my current users, just help the ones that need it get around the ISP blocking of port 25.
Thank you.

No it will give you an EXTRA port, 25000.
so both 25 and 25000 would work.
If you change/disable 25 you wont receive mail as other servers wont be able to communicate over your port 25 to deliver mail

thanks so much. That worked just fine. It does add an additional port for sendmail to listen on without affecting port 25.
I appreciate your help.

Sorry - How exactly do I add this to my sendmail.cf file? Do I just edit the file and place it anywhere?

Running Ensim 4.0
Added: OOPort=26
to the file /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
What happens when sendmail is restarted and or the .cf file re-written?
