Full Version: Bounced mail because source (my server) does not reverse lookup
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk
Swamper
In an effort to assist our clients to receive less unsolicited
e-mails, our mail servers will be reconfigured to only accept
mail from clients who have properly configured Mail and DNS
information.

If you received this e-mail, it means that during the course
of the e-mail you sent to one of our clients on our network,
one of the mailing subsystems are not
1) properly doing DNS Host lookups,
2) a Reverse DNS has not been entered correctly for your IP
3) One of the delivering mail servers did not have a valid DNS
reverse lookup,
4) Your ISP did not properly configure their mail server.
Your ISP Mail server must turn on "Look up SMTP hosts in DNS"

............hmm.. Cyberglobe.net is sending this out so this person isn't receiving their mail that comes out from my forums software anymore...

...a little bit excessive, wouldn't ya say? - Is there any way to do #4 in plesk? (assuming I get #2 done)

It was just one or two (at the most) of the options, probably number 2, which would have to be setup by RS on their DNS.
