our hostname is cpanel.domain.com

we keep getting spam at addresses like j@cpanel.domain.com and q@cpanel.domain.com and it all sits in queue forever.

how can i make all mail sent to an address @cpanel.domain.com just get deleted. i have looked in whm and cpanel for answers but find nothing. i cant just add it in cpanel since its the hostname and doesnt have a subdomain or anything set up on the main account

Have you gone in WHM > Manage Mail Queue > Then Delete all messages in Queue? That is one way to delete them and less painful. Also you might want to change your host name on your server to fit your needs.

yeah i delete them in whm but when u are getting 50-100 day its annoying and time consuming

Where is the spam coming from if you don't mind me asking, and have you changed your host name?
