First off, yes. . . I'm an idiot.

Having said that, I have read every thread availalbe on SSL and subdomains and still can't get it right.

Here is what I have done:

1. requesed and configured seperate IP for mydomain.com

2. Generated and purchased SSL from Geotrust for mydomain.com

3. Installed SSL Cert for domain secure.mydomain.com with no problems.

4. Added CNAME in DNS Zone for secure.mydomain.com as:

secure 4800 IN CNAME mydomain.com.

5. Checked that in my httpd.conf the root directory was pointing to my /home/username/public_html directory

6. Made sure that http was resolving to the IP I had assigned
http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Confirmed that all crt and keys were in the appropriate subdirectories.

Restarted BIND and Apache

Cert looks okay when I access https://www.mydomain.com, I get the lock and clicking on it give the Geotrust Cert info correctly.

Okay......

The secure site of secure.mydomain.com shows in my WHM, but I get an "Action Cancelled" on my browser when I try to connect.

Same if I try https or http secure.mydomain.com

Where did I go wrong?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. icon_smile.gif
