Uhh how do I make this do anything? It looks like it's all ready to go, but it hasn't done anything at all... Anyone know where I might be going wrong?

Thanks.
PDM
It doesn't work much of the time.
xela
Does it work *any* of the time?
Penguin
Does it ever work? I've never received an e-mail from it, despite having one server crash a number of times recently. It also doesn't appear to monitor servers in DC2

That's where mine is...

Thanks all.

I have, although not consistantly received emails.

Test it by turning off a service for 15 minutes like FTP.

Service Monitoring has not been working for me. When I asked about it this is the response I got:

The existing monitoring software is currently overloaded, and we're working on a more extensible version (multiple scanning servers, much higher tolerances, redundancy checks, error correction, etc). The new version is currently in testing, and we hope to roll it out starting next week. We apologize for the inconvenience, and replacing this service is one of our main priorities at the moment.

It is critical to us, and I am waiting for that ...

Yeah, was working fine for me then stopped ..

I lost 14 hour on a server being down .. I did not get the expected email for the trouble.

I did not know I needed a monitor for the monitor. rolleyes.gif

If you want a good solution to your server monitoring problems and have a high-speed connection in your office or home check out Server Alive. We use it and it works really well. It has a ton of features and checks as many sites/servers as you have.
