Howdy guys n gals.
Question tonight on the 'default' site/domain.
My server is set up as ns1.mydomain.com.
I of course get the 'default' directory when going straight to the IP. But I can't figure out how to do anything else with that 'default' space. Like PHP - I tried including the AddType handler in the space for the domain in httpd.include. Didn't work. Put the AddType handler in a vhost.conf file within default/conf. Didn't work.

I am thinking that I'm going to have to make a site called 'mydomain.com' and put a ServerAlias line for 'ns1.mydomain.com' in order for it to work. BUT... I have a feeling PSA is going to make a separate directory for this site rather than just using the 'default' (even though it will have the same name as the server).

Are we just not supposed to use the 'default' space?
And why is PSA automatically set to add a PTR record for *every* site, even the name-based ones? (I know I can take that out. It's just a complaint, really.)

I'm trying to go to webmail.domain.com for some of the sites that are already on the machine and responding, and it's not working (yes webmail is checked in preferences). Am I looking in the wrong spot?

I'm sure I'll think of more schtuff as soon as I send this. Back to a shell I go. icon_wink.gif
