on my old ensim server i had a script that used symlinks... on my new cpanel/rhe3 server thes cript w/ symlinks do not work,,,, but i have in my httpd.conf 'followsymlinks'
what could be the problem?

Do the links themselves work correctly within the filesystem? Try and manually follow them via ssh.
