Hey all - just need some answers if anyone can help...

Here's the deal. Let's say I have the domains: forum.com and mail.com.

Currently, I have fourm.com hosted and it receives e-mail for users and everythings great. However, I am planning on moving forum.com to a new host who does not support e-mail, so they are going to set up my MX records to point to my other server which hosts mail.com.

I need to setup mail.com to accept mail from forum.com instead of bouncing it back. If possible, I need user@forum.com mail to be interpreted as user@mail.com (not sure if it's possible - if not, I will see if I can somehow set up forwarders).

Can anyone help me with what I might need to add to the exim configuration file so that the server hosting mail.com accepts mail from forum.com?

Alternatively, would this work? Say I set up forum.com on the new server, but set up the MX record to point to the IP address of the mail.com server. Could I create an account for forum.com in WHM and have it accept the mail? Or would it try and forward the mail back to the correct server according to the nameserver entries?

If you have any ideas how to work this out or what I might need to do, any help is appreciated.

mail.com will be on a RedHat9/WHM/Cpanel server.
