Which do you run? I really didn't even want to offer FTP access (just SFTP) but my users are really stuck in their ways. So I'm curious, from an overall standpoint which is better to run on our cpanel setup?
Pro or Pure?

I have been using Pure-FTP recently after I realized that it was integrated into Cpanel. One of my main reasons is that the login process is much faster, proftp always seemed to have a delay when logging in. Pure-ftpd as well right now is undergoing intense development so patches, new versions will be readily avaliable. Virtual users are also easier to configure in pureftp.... dunno it seems faster and lighter on the system in general.

They both have pros and cons, but we still use pure-ftpd on all servers. The only con of pure-ftpd is that CPanel cannot measure bandwidth useage from it. It does iwth pro-ftpd, but pro is a resource hog. You have to decide if the lack of monitoring is worth the extra memory and processor usage of pro.
