with MailScanner / ClamAv installed.
Although there is (yet) very little traffic (web/ftp/email) on this server the server load almost never goes below 1, most often is around 1.5 - 2.5.
I noticed that Exim eats up almost all CPU and causes the extreme server load (despite the yet still extremely little traffic, despite the yet neglectable email volume).
The current CPU usage usually shows (for owner = root)
either:
QUOTE
/bin/grep-c [=-]> /var/log/exim_mainlog
or
QUOTE
/bin/grep-c <= /var/log/exim_mainlog
with percentages of ~95% or more and all this almost permanently.
With this high server load already at this early stage, I do not really feel comfortable with adding more sites and thereby allowing "real traffic" and true email volume to flow in...
Any help and guidance would be highly appreciated.
