My machine is a full production machine and I just can't afford to play guinea pig for Rack Shack.
I can't get a clear answer from support on this HOW DO I GO ABOUT A 7.3 RAID 5 upgrade with Cpanel?
Since Curl and Curl SSL is not supported yet under that apache install and I require both I have to wait a bit anyway.
Seems to me that a Clean upgrade solution to this would be a Second machine made available to Raid 5 users. We use the Cpanel features to transfer over the accounts, Testing each account 1 by 1 to make sure they function and have their permissions set right, and setup the new server Do an IP migration back to the old ips and physically put the new machine back into the old hole and release the old machine back to be reimaged.
There are so few Raid 5's this should be the route to upgrade.
Otherwise I need a step by step on how to duplicate and test a server with just an additional hard drive. The Raid 5 setup with just 1 additional drive scares me that I will lose configuration of Redhat Enterprise somewhere in the mix.
When probing these questions I seem to get a shoulder Shrug over the phone and this doesn't leave me warm and fuzzy.
So Who's going to be the Guinea Pig in this experiment?
Any help with some step by steps.
