Hello,
A few months past I installed Poptop on my server (a pptp server app).. In doing so I needed to add a module to the kernal to support that.
Since then it has been determined that my kernel version is no longer secure. I'm trying to get this upgraded using several methods (including many fine HOWTOs here)
The problem is this, I have a dependency issue that I'm not sure how to correct. I would prefer to just dump the dependency.
How would I go about that?
Here is what I'm getting when attempting to upgrade the kernel"
# up2date --nox -f kernel

There was a package dependency problem. The message was:
Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
kernel-mppe-2.4.18-24.7.x requires kernel = 2.4.18
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you very much.
