Hey,

Quick/Stupid question. Just setting up a new box and i noticed that this one didnt come with the admin account i usually use to su to get root.. (After disabling direct root login). My question is, what are the minimal permissions i have to give to the user to be able to su to root.

I added a user 'admin' and set the password, disabled direct login.. but it wont let me su from admin to root, gives permission denied. I reverted it back for now, but where and which permissions should be set for admin?

Thanks.

Which OS are you using?

Freebsd a user must be in the group "wheel" I believe to be able to su to root.
