During chkrootkit .....

Checking `bindshell'... INFECTED (PORTS: 465)

Some people say its a false positive ... and nothing to worry about ...

What is your take guys ?

Greetings:

1. You are doing the right thing by double checking.

There are several applicable old sayings that have merit -- "measure twice, saw once," and "it is always better to be safe, than sorry."

2. With that stated, the port 465 error is the most common false positive on Plesk, Cpanel, and also if you run mail over SSL.

If you do a search in the forums on "PORTS: 465" you will see the various things you can do to confirm you are safe.
