Hi
I have seen that some server owners have a different URL for control panel login
e.g cp.mydomain.com or control.mydomain.com
how is this achieved,
is it just a sub domain or is there any additional configuration to be done?
Thanks

you need to put the CP on a dedicated IP then in the control panel under Global Dns (I think) you add the CP IP and a name i.e. control. Then on all new sites the users will be able to type control.domain.com and be directed to the control panel.

I don't think you have to be on a dedicated IP. If you open the IIS MMC Snap-In, you can go into properties for the Helm site, and change the host-header to use whatever you like, with name-based hosting.

You can modify the host header info using the Helm Config Tool which is the prefered method. You can alter the port and IP there too.
