Hello I just got a redhat 9 server with plesk on it

When i login to ssh it instantly asks for the username, then it takes upto a minute to ask for the password?

Also when i do ping yahoo.com it does nothing but if i ping a ip address it works just fine?

ev1servers said i need to enable icmp but im not sure how to do this?

The problem is that you don't have a good DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf and domain names can not resolve.

This is what is currently in there, what should i put?

search redhat.ev1servers.net
nameserver 192.168.0.9
nameserver 192.168.0.10

I advise you to use after your own nameserver the ev1 dns server as well.

These last two IPs are private, reserved and non-routable .....icon_wink.gif

You will need to use the following EV1 IPs:

ns3.ev1.net = 207.218.192.38
ns4.ev1.net = 207.218.192.39
