For some reason, I can send and receive emails from the same domain but when I attempt to send or receive emails to other domains other than my domain, I receive the error message:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

hongle@onlineshowoff.com
unrouteable mail domain "onlineshowoff.com"


and this is what I get when I send from my outlook to an email on my server.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'geeboy@upnext.com' on 1/5/2004 4:18 PM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.

i asked ev1servers support to help me out and they surely did.

what happened was i had incorrect settings in my /etc/resolv.conf

this is what i have now:

search ev1servers.net
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 207.218.245.135
nameserver 207.218.247.135


i was missing the SEARCH ev1servers.net

give that a try!!
