I edited my php.ini file and un-commented extension=php_gd.dll saved restarted (also tried using php_gd.so) and all that that i am supposed to do in order to have GD instaled and working. I check using phpinfo() and GD still isnt there. Is there something I did wrong? will someone please help me out? Looking forward to a response.

You need to compile php with gd.

Are you using a control panel? If so which one?

im using cpanel

1. Log in to WHM.
2. Under Software select Update Apache.
3. Select GD.
4. Click Build.

It will rebuild apache and compile php with gd.
