Ok - I downloaded and installed the MailScanner package from layer1.cpanel.net

Works great - BUT server email is not being sent properly at times....but all the time. Just once in awhile I get this error rather than the message:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

root@dh2.doorhost.net
All deliveries are handled by MailScanner



So when things like LogWatch are sent they turn into an error - I get truncated versions, rather than the full email. Anyone know how to fix this?

I talked with the creators of MailScanner - they said to check my MailScanner headers for spaces. There were none. And that was all they could suggest. So I'm on my own on this now.

Any help is appreciated.

I recently started seeing this. One or two emails a day that get bounced like that. It came on suddenly. Not sure what the problem is though.

Add this to your /etc/crontab

Seems to have worked for me - I forget where I finally got the answer from...maybe cpanel.net *shrugs*
