I'm extremely new to cpanel and would like to use the ssl login feature of cpanel, what do I need to do in order to active the ssl part of cpanel?

Do I need to order a ssl certificate? As much information as you can give me would be much apperciated.

you can login at https://www.domain.com:2083 for cpanel and :2087 for WHM

No there is a cert that comes with it, you will get an error saying the cert is not signed by a company but just click ok.
