Apparently this Entropy Chat server is enabled on all of the cpanel servers by default.

You can access it by typing

http://yourhostname.com:2084

in a web browser.

Ive never really noticed, but this is the worst thing ive seen on the servers yet? All it is in a little perl script running an open port and forwarding data basically.

I succeeded in crashing it on every one of my servers (Remotely) in under 10 seconds.

Do you guys leave this enabled??

Its a cute little thing that I have never seen crash the entire server. Its an amusing thing some clients like to use. As long as no harm comes to the server and nobody repeaditly crashes it I would say leave it enabled.


Your right its almost useless but its not that bad.
