Full Version: mulitple SSL site on IIS?

I have a Windows 2000 server running IIS 5.
There are 2 sites in my server...

1. www.AAA.com (SSL installed)
2. www.BBB.com (no SSL)

Recently I got a quick SSL for www.AAA.com and installed, works fine. But when I type https://www.BBB.com it shows the site https://www.AAA.com instead!

Does anyone know why did this happen?
Will there be a conflict if I get another SSL for www.BBB.com?

Thanks a million...

Same or different IP addresses?

Greetings:

Each SSL site needs its own, unique, IP address.

Also, make sure that the properties for the site has the IP for SSL listening on port 443 within IIS manager.

Thank you.

Yep, sounds like you have www.aaa.com and www.bbb.com on the same IP. That'll bring up the SSL for www.aaa.com, even if they go to https://www.bbb.com

The solution is to move www.bbb.com to another IP -- or move www.aaa.com to another IP, and buy a new cert.
