Hello All,

I m having a issue on the server

The client complaints that the sites are running slow.

I have checked the ping, traceroute and they seem to be ok.

Also these sites uses a high bandwidth on the server as i always see them marked Red or Orange when i view the bandwidth Status.

Could any body of u suggest me how do i investigate why the sites are slow.

There is no emails traffic on the server. I have only 10 sites on the server and the configuration is :

When its lagging what does

"uptime"
command show? Your server might be overloaded.

Its loading fast for me, perhaps try traceroute from those who say its slow ?

I tried traceroute and its quite ok with me also. But the client is not ready to accept the fact. coz the site is really fast but sometimes it really goes slow. Then i restart all the service and its fast but after few minutes its again slow and this is what i have also experienced.

Any comments will be appreaciated.

Maybe type "top"

and watch the loads for a few minutes as he reports it being laggy, seeing if it ever goes above 1.0

It sounds like its probably routing issues but it might be load problem, where does he live? If overseas then routing would be a big suspect.
