is there anyway i can find out if multiple websites, or nameservers are "attached" to a IP?
i remember seeing something awhile back, it showed all the people using ns1.rackshack.net, etc as there nameserver

hmm, any reason why my personal nameserver, which has about 50 sites using it, doesnt show any sites attached to it?

Internic doesn't show SITES running on a nameserver, it merely shows Nameservers associated to a give IP...
To check what NS a given domain is using, select a domain lookup, and enter the domain name.

well, what i simply did was click your link, saw the sites nameservers using that ip address, and entered my nameserver ip address in the address bar, didnt change anything, and it didnt show any of my sites nameservers, that are using my ip... but the link you gave did...?
i basically wanted to see what nameservers were running on a given ip address...

what is your IP, and what is the nameserver?
Also, did you properly create the nameserver records with your *registrar*... And have allowed 72 hours for propogation?

well, for obvious reasons im not going to give out my ip address. Nothing has changed for about 3 months on the IP address. It does correctly show MY nameserver:
ns1.mydomain.com
The nameserver is ns1.mydomain.com, but I have ns1.domain1.com, ns2.domain2.com, etc using my nameserver/ip.

No, the reasons are not obvious. An IP address is easily obtained from a domain name... And if you feel that hiding your IP is providing security, then you have a false sense of it.

no, i do not want to give my ip address out because you do not know my domain, therefore you do not know my ip address. you can call it "hiding being my mask" if you would like. i would like to thank you for your time though.

thanks for your comments propcgamers, but he, nor anyone else needs my IP address. I was simply asking why his link with that IP shows all the nameservers using it, yet my IP only shows my nameserver.

because your nameserver is the only nameserver using that IP.
Those are "nameservers" NOT domain names. The internic whois does NOT list domains using a given IP/Nameserver.
