All of the email on my server is being stuck in the Incoming Queue. But in WHM there is no mail in Manage Mail Queue.

from the command line when I do: exim -bp I see all the emails in the queue and doing a exim -bpc i get a count of 267.

How can I fix this?

I have done a restart on exim a few times and nothing happened.

Thanks

I have the same issue.... just started yesterday. Reinstalled exim, fixed permissions, everything....shows mail as being delayed, 3000 messages in queue, but not in WHM ...that's shows 0. Cpanel team is looking at it....anyway to force delivery of the delayed messages?

I did a reboot on my server and some of the emails that were in the queue got delivered. After the reboot everything seems normal. Its very odd.

Interestingly enough, this also did it for this server..... took forever to deliver the queue, but it worked. Restarting the services didn't help, but rebooting the server did. I should have tried it, but assumed it HAD to be something more involved. icon_smile.gif

It happened again last nite around 9pm est. I just did a reboot and the emails are being delivered. This is very strange.

you can try this.
It works for us.

in shell enter this:

edit /etc/crontab

then add at the bottom of you current list,

00 * * * * root exim -qff

This will force a run of an exim queue once an hour.
Or, you can simple enter exim -v -qff in shell to watch it deliver the mail.... the -v calls the "verbose" function and it will display the email queue run.
I hope this helps you.

After not getting any replies yesterday, I took a closer look this morning.

It turns out the mailbox was full for one account (mine)!

But I was checking my mail every 10 minutes! And the InBox was empty!

That's when I ssh'd in and found that the "spam" file had 15000 messages in it!

So now the question is, how do I prevent this from happening to my customers? If they don't use web mail, then they will never get the contents of their spam folders and they will fill up.

What to do?

Thanks,
Brian
