Each day around the same time, some sort of DDoS attack takes place on our EV server...

I can't believe the only "help" from EV I can get is "we'll unplug the server until attack stops"... so if attack takes 2 years, 2 years paying for an unplugged server! oh well!

iptables firewall is up with DDOS ruleset, but it seems it can't stop them enough...

Have u heard of a "same time, different day" DDOS attack before?

Any other suggestions you may have to help us?

To stop DDoS I used :

worked perfectly for me.
Stoped DDos on port 80 (apache server)

I'm using also KISS MY FIREWALL, to protect the other ports
