Hi

Earlier on one of our servers went down and we did a reboot of the server.

Anyways 7 hours from there everyone on that server are unable to SEND e-mails.

They can recieved just not send they all get the following error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

     Subject: Hello
     Sent: 08/10/2003 23:29

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

     'sales@ourdomains.com' on 08/10/2003 23:29
451 Temporary local problem - please try later

Obviously replacing ourdomains.com with the domain name in question.

We have been talking to rackshack for over 5 hours now and they actually do not respond with anything that works.

Firstly they said they has restarted the exim services, then they said to check the /etc/userdomains as well as in /etc/localdomains and then re-install exim.

We've done all of this, anyhow we told them that it did not work and they have just responded with the above again!

So Im hoping that someone in here will be able to help us out

Thank you
cjanjacomo

ITS WORKING :-)

ITS WORKING :-)

so here goes the path I took in brief

Cried - then cried a bit more
then --- spilled my drink ... cried again

edited /etc/localdomains
edited /etc/userdomains
performed /scripts/updateuserdomains

reinstalled Exim via /scripts/exim4
restarted Bind
tried /scritps/fixeverything
no good - then ...

cried a bit more ....
then did /scripts/mailperm
