Hello to all of you,
I need your expert opinion on proper and safest way in backing up all the data in my server before a system restore.
BACKGROUND:
Redhat9 /Plesk 6 patched to 6.0.1 (before I made a mistake)
Urchin 5
Geotrust
Few Domains
I upgraded to PHP 4.3.3 without problem but when I encountered some mistakes when upgrading to MySQL4, then accidentally deleted psa6 during the downgrade to PHP 4.2.3 and to MySQL 3.56. All domains, webmail and PHP web enable pages are working perfectly but NOT the Plesk Admin pages, it is just a Blank page. I do not have the original psa 6.0 so I used the autoinstall from plesk but to no avail it is not working.
NOW.... I want to open a system restore ticket with RS. but I need to backup all my data and Domains, users, mails and mysql databases.
which Directory or directories should I backup in order for me to restore this data back to the server soon after they re-image it preserving all user passwords/permissions domains i'ts users and emails, databases.
I have some thoughts about the following;
/root
/home
/etc
/usr/local
is there anymore????
where are the databases stored that Plesk created like domains, DNS records, Ip assignments? Emails by domain users?
If it will be too complicated for me , I might require an extra help or outside services .
Thanks in advance,
kanine
