Full Version: How did you set CGI iinitially in Cpanel?
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > cPanel/WHM
dbold
I have 6 Ensim boxes, but completely Newbie for Cpanel.

After initial setup, My first experience is that CGIs don't functional at all!

1. CGI enabled when I created accounts.
2. Permissions were properly set
3. Confirmed httpd.conf ..

CGI should be work without .htaccess in any directories.

Domain's Control panel say that use 'scgi-bin'.. what's this?

Something seems different basically in CPanel.

I searched with keywords CGI in these threads, but no help to me.

Please someone, just Help!

Thanks! I did... "/scripts/fixsuexeccgiscripts".

Running "/scripts/fixsuexeccgiscripts" .. please wait....
Scanning suexec_log...Done
Complete!

Still "Internal Server Error" is indicated. The next.. Path to PERL is

Domain's Control Panel say : /usr/bin/perl
From SSH : ]# which perl : /usr/local/bin/perl

The two is the symbolick link? ...I got Errors for the both.

The next.. Opened httpd.conf..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

# Note that "MultiViews" must be named *explicitly* --- "Options All"
# doesn't give it to you.
#
Options ExecCGI FollowSymLinks MultiViews
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

and confirmed script Ailias: AddHandler cgi-script .pl .cgi

All Permissions are OK, .cgi files are set to 755. The others done too.

-All bring Errors-.. What could I do more?
